Papineau Township is one of twenty-six townships in Iroquois County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 647[1].
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, Papineau Township covers an area of 29.56 square miles (76.6 km2); of this, 29.41 square miles (76.2 km2) (99.5 percent) is land and 0.15 square miles (0.39 km2) (0.5 percent) is water. Papineau Township changed its name from Wygant Township on September 16, 1862.
